I continuously investigate the age old struggle of good versus evil, rich versus poor and east versus west.

Through the use of mass media, I find inspiration. I use popular images both new and old to address serious topics, sometimes adding a touch of humour.

Using vintage images, I illustrate life as I see it: over processed, over indulged, over fed shiny plastic western society versus the rest of the world.

The use of easily recognizable nostalgic images are soothing while broaching what can be dark and controversial subject matters.

Western society is viewed by many people as evil because of its affluence and decadence. At the same time, the west is also revered as the place to be and its monetary rewards are goals to achieve. 

Even though the media points us eastward and westward, we need not necessarily look further than within ourselves for the conflict that is created by the idealistic 'pursuit of happiness'.
