Young artists will explore a variety of art media and techniques with creative and engaging projects that include drawing, painting, printmaking, clay and other media exploration. Projects will incorporate themes related to art history, nature, the environment, animal studies, and more.

All materials included. Available to students ages 6 and up. 

Please dress for mess, bring a lunch, nut/seed/fish-free snack & water bottle. 

$400 plus hst per week. Camp Days run from 10am to 4 pm 

Daily Breakdown:

10 am to 12 noon- Art creation with 15 minute break outdoors.                               

12 to 1 pm- Lunch and outdoor play time.                                                                     

1 to 3:30 pm- Art creation with 15 minute break outdoors.                                         

3:30 to 4pm- Free time ( beading, games, reading, mini craft activities)

 

July 18 to 22- Artists and Art from Around the World -SPOTS AVAILABLE              Students are introduced to the works of art and artisans from around the world that look at patterns and colour in their creations. From world masks to Oaxacan animal sculptures students can gain an appreciation for the history of various form of art while developing their own unique vision in creating their personal masterpieces.

July 25 to 29- Fantasy Castles, Dragons and More - SPOTS AVAILABLE                  Students learn about medieval times while drawings, paintings and sculpting various art forms. Castle night lights in ceramic, dragon mixed media art scene and other projects are in store for these campers.

August 22 to 26- Fables and Woodland Creatures - FULL                                        Stories of magical forests and creatures will be rendered in drawing and sculptural forms in mixed media and ceramics sculpture. Students will develop skills in value, colour, proportion and texture.                                                          

August 29 to Sept 2- Surreal, Fantasy - FULL                                                           From Dali to Dr Seuss, students will explore the landscape of their imagination through mixed media, ceramics and other media.

Please note: Due to COVID-19 students will be required to follow health and safety protocols. If you or your child are feeling unwell, are showing COVID-19 symptoms, have been diagnosed or been in contact with someone diagnosed, or have been exposed, we ask that you please stay home. Please contact us to let us know.  All fully vaccinated staff will be wearing masks and students are required to as well. Distancing measures will be taken. Should restrictions occur classes will continue online through Zoom to complete sessions or be rescheduled.  Please note that we are unable to do make-up classes.
