 BIRTHDAY PARTIES or GROUP SESSIONS FOR KIDS AND TEENS                                                        

Parties are a minimum of $295 for up to 7 participants plus $25 each (for painting projects) or $30 each (for clay projects ) for additional participants with a maximum of 12 participants for 1.5-hour projects.

The birthday party includes 1.5 hours of art creation with supplies included and an additional half-hour for guests to enjoy their cake, cupcake or gift opening brought to the space.  Gift bags are not included and are the responsibility of the hosts.

Clay projects Include materials and firings with clear glazing done by studio technicians. Pick up of projects is available 2-3 weeks after the party, and distribution of art pieces are the responsibility of the party hosts.

Initial payments of $100 deposit reserve the date.  The balance will be due the day of the party.   Please email artquartersgallery@gmail.com to inquire about date time and project possibilities.       

After deposit purchase  please fill out our PARTY INFORMATION FORM with information including your booking date, time slot, project preference, number and ages of attendees. Also, please let us know if there is a specific theme for the party. We would love to incorporate it!                                                                  

We have space for a maximum of 12 participants in total. 

Our parties are drop-off for attendees, however, there are benches outside our gallery and local coffee shops should parents want to socialize/stay nearby. Hosting parents are welcome to stay in the gallery for birthday parties.

CHOICES INCLUDE:

CLAY  PROJECTS 

Projects are available for pick up 2 to 3 weeks after the party.

Ceramic Animal Mugs or Bowl, Fruit Bowl or  Animal Plate                                            Whether a swan mug or strawberry bowl, students will use the fundamentals of clay to create a functional ceramic piece. All works are created in porcelain clay and fired to high temperature with food-safe glazes.

Ceramic Animal Night Lantern Project 
Super fun nightlight/lantern sculpture! Students will learn clay fundamentals using pinch pots as a starting point for shape and form exploration. Students can create a character or animal of their choice. After firing, our studio technicians will put in lights inside so they can stay on all night.

Ceramic Mask Project
Students will be learn how to create a decorative mask or portrait piece in clay! Students will incorporate slab building with shape exploration, texture and colour. After firing a wire hanging mechanism will be attached by our studio technicians.


PAINTING OR MIXED MEDIA PROJECTS

Projects go home the same day of the party.

Barbara Reid inspired Plasticine Relief
Explore the world of children's book illustrator Barbara Reid and others who use plasticine as their medium! Students will create a landscape scene while learning about colour blending, texture, and pattern as well as observation in shapes and proportions to create animals and insects.

Mixed Media Project
Whether animal, human or monster, create a fun mixed media project. Students play with mixed media techniques including printmaking, painting, collage, collage, and more to create unique wall-hanging pieces.

Fairies Create a fairy or magical creature out of mixed media with wings, wands and more. Participants will also create a setting where their characters can live.

Diormama Scene Whether animals in a forest or UFOs in outer space, birthday participants use their imaginations to create a diorama theatre scene with mixed media collage and drawing techniques.
